(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioners, organizations involved in spreading awareness about the preventive measures for kidney diseases, have filed this public interest litigation making a prayer that Circular No.19/2013-Customs dated 09.05.2013 issued by respondent No.2 should be quashed.

2. The grievance was with respect to the categorisation of the tariff item dealing with "renal dialysis equipment".

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the grievance of the petitioners stand remedied in view of Notification No.12/2016-Customs dated 01.03.2016, forming part of the current budgetary exercise.

4. It is thus gratifying to note that the matter has been redressed without the intervention of the Court.

5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands closed. No costs.
