ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 18.02.2025, wherein, the petitioner is seeking alternate accommodation for the house which was already occupied by the petitioner at Dr.Ambedkar Nagar and which was demolished.

2. When the matter came up for hearing on 02.06.2025, this Court directed the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents to take instructions and report before this Court. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel submitted that the surveyor has prepared a list and the accommodation will be granted only to those persons who have been identified.

3. In light of the above submissions, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 18.02.2025 and convey to the petitioner as to whether he will be provided with accommodation as sought by the petitioner. This communication shall be sent by the second respondent to the petitioner within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

4. This writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
