O R D E R

The petition is to punish the respondents for violating the orders of this Court in Crl.O.P. No. 4849 of 2021 dated 21.07.2022.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that though the order passed by this Court was a direction to file final report within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, i.e., 21.07.2022, they could not file a final report since the investigation was not completed. They had ultimately filed a final report on 13.04.2023. The delay in filing the final report is neither willful nor wanton.

3. This Court is of the view that since the final report has already been filed and the reason given by the respondents for the delay is acceptable, no order is required in this petition. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed.
