O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorari to call for the records pertaining to the order passed in proceedings P.G.C.No.14/2006 dated Nil signed on 20.10.2006 and served on 24.11.2006 on the file of the second respondent and to quash the same.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the impugned order, in order to settle the issue amicably, has finally agreed to pay the first respondent a sum of Rs.1,22,000/-, however, without interest for which, the first respondent has also consented.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner further submitted that in compliance of the order of this Court dated 03.01.2007 made in M.P.No.1 of 2006 in W.P.No.50382 of 2006, the petitioner has already deposited 50% of the award amount before the second respondent.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, today, handed over a Cheque of State Bank of India bearing No.968142 dated 26.04.2018 for a sum of Rs.59,000/- (Rupees Fifty Nine Thousand Only) to the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent. The learned counsel further handed over a sum of Rs.2,000/- in cash to the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent.

5.In view of the above, since the entire amount has been settled, nothing survives for further adjudication in this writ petition. The first respondent Workman is permitted to withdraw the amount lying in deposit before the second respondent by filing appropriate application.

6.The writ petition is accordingly closed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition, if any, is also closed.
