O R D E R

Writ petition has been filed challenging quash the demand notice issued by the respondent on 24.03.2016.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that after the impugned due notice issued by the respondent on 24.03.2016, the Government had announced waiver scheme, waiving the penal interest. In view of the subsequent orders passed by the Government granting waiver scheme, the petitioner will make a fresh representation to the respondent Society, within a period stipulated by this Court.

submit that if any such representation is made by the petitioner, the same shall be considered in accordance with the Government Orders issued under the Waiver scheme announced by the Government.

4. Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach the respondent society by making a fresh representation to the respondent Society, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Thereafter, the respondent Society is directed to consider the said representation made by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible preferably, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
