This petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.657 of 2014, within a time frame.

2. Mr.K.Muthuganesa Pandian, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though, on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 30.10.2014, a case has been registered in Cr.No. 657 of 2014 for the offences under Sections 294(b), 506(i) and 420 IPC, but, till date, no further steps have been taken and the final report has not been filed.

3. Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who has taken notice for the respondent would submit that the investigation is in progress and it will take some time to complete the investigation and to file a final report.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into account the nature of allegations in the complaint, the respondent police is directed to complete the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
