(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent to issue a No Objection Certificate in respect of the property in Survey No.148/1 of Valasaravakkam village, Maduravoyil Taluk, Chennai.

2. According to the petitioner, the petitioner is the owner of the above mentioned property and he purchased the same in the year 2012. Based on the 1st respondent's letter dated 17.04.2017, the petitioner applied for patta to the 2nd respondent. The 2nd respondent sent a letter to the petitioner stating that the said land covered under Urband Land Ceiling proceedings and directed him to get a No Objection Certificate from the first respondent. Hence, the petitioner made a representation to the first respondent to issue No Objection Certificate to the petitioner, that was not considered, hence, the writ petition has been filed.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, appearing for the first respondent would submit that the land in dispute is not come under the Urban Ceiling proceedings. Therefore, the first respondent has already issued No Objection Certificate.
4. Recording the above said submission that , No Objection Certificate has been issued to the petitioner, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition.
