ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) The petitioner has come forward to file this writ petition by way of public interest litigation with the grievance that the provisions of The Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 are not implemented in letter and spirit.
2. Though the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that despite request being made, the concerned authority viz., the Revenue Divisional Officer concerned is not taking appropriate action at the earliest.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that as and when complaints are received, the same would be looked into and action would be taken as per law.
4. Considering the above said submissions, we make it clear that as and when complaints are made, the authority concerned will have to look into and take appropriate action on such complaints within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of the same. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly with the above direction. No costs.
