ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 1 st respondent to deal with the petition submitted by the petitioner on 25.11.2024, wherein, the petitioner is seeking for survey of the subject property and for marking the boundaries.

2.Heard Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Muruganraja, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the 1 st respondent and Mr.V.J.Priyadarsana, learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing on behalf of the 2 nd respondent.

3/6 3.The petitioner is placing reliance upon the patta that was issued in favour of his grand father in Patta No.1949. The petitioner is also relying upon the Joint Patta No.790 issued by the 1 st respondent which includes the name of the petitioner. The petitioner wanted the property to be surveyed and boundaries stones to be laid and accordingly, an online application was submitted by paying the necessary charges on 25.11.2024. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 1 st respondent to deal with the online application submitted by the petitioner and to conduct the survey based on the joint patta that stands in the name of the petitioner.

If there are any other interested parties, such survey shall be conducted in their presence. In the event of any disturbance caused which may lead to law and order problem, the 2 nd respondent is directed to provide police protection. This process shall be completed, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
