ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 6 (4) of TNSC (RDCS) order 1982 and Section 7(1)(a)(ii) of EC Act 1955, in Crime No.51 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has illegally stored 35 tons of PDS rice. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he would pray for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) would raise strong objection stating that the petitioner had illegally stored 35,000/- kilograms of PDS rice. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of bail.

5.Considering the huge quantity of the PDS rice involved in this case, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
