Respondents (Respondent No.7 impleaded suo-motu as per the order dt. 11.5.2016) Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to constitute a committee for monitoring the implementation of the guidelines for the protection and administration of orphanages in Tamilnadu framed in G.O.Ms.No.31, dated 26.06.2014 issued by the third respondent by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2016.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner by the present public interest litigation prays for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to constitute a Committee for monitoring the implementation of the guidelines for the protection and administration of the Orphanages in Tamil Nadu framed by G.O.Ms.No.31 dated 26.06.2014 issued by respondent No.3/Department of Social Welfare by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2016.

2. The counter-affidavit filed by the respondents states that implementation of the guidelines referred to aforesaid is under active consideration of the Government and necessary consultation with the concerned administrative department is in progress. Thus, three months' time is prayed for to take action in pursuance to the aforesaid request of the petitioner.

3. We accede to the request and granted three months time to the respondents to take necessary action in view of the prayer/representation of the petitioner.
