ORDER

Seeking a direction to the respondent to renew the Passport on the basis of her representation dated 22.05.2001, the petitioner has come forward with this writ petition.

When the matter is taken up, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner has obtained two passports. The first one was obtained on 29.05.1998 valid till 28.05.2008. The second one was obtained on 22.05.2001 valid till 21.05.2011. In both the cases different addresses have been given though they have same photographs. There is a discrepancy in the educational qualification and the place of birth incorporated in the two Passports. Thus, the petitioner was asked to show case as per the notice dated 11.02.1013. A reply was given by the petitioner's counsel on 19.02.2013 denying the factum of holding two passports and in ability to attend the enquiry in view of the pendency of the writ petition.

has to appear for the enquiry that may be conducted by the respondent and satisfy the respondent that the allegations made in the show cause notice are not true. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of, giving liberty to the petitioner to appear before the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
