This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent police (Inspector of Police, G3, Kilpauk Police Station) not to harass this petitioner on the complaint given by Mr.Shankush M.Kothari. 1/4

2. A complaint been received by the respondent police from one Mr.Shankush M.Kothari regarding non payment of sale consideration for the tiles sold and delivered in the year 2016.

3. The Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the police is interfering in a civil dispute and trying to enforce a time barred debt by intimidating him with dire consequence. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court seeking protection from harassment.

4. The Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent states that a complainant's petition been taken up for enquiry and the petitioner was summoned to produce the documents under Section 160 r/w 91 of Cr.P.C.

5. This Court finds that the petitioner has not appeared on 10.04.2024 as per summon. If the petitioner appears and produce documents, the Investigating Officer will consider the documents and if no criminality is made out, the complaint will be closed and action will be taken in accordance with law.
