This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2024 to issue transfer order to the petitioner as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Salem Division or near place in the Salem district under spouse category.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed on 17.05.2012 as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, even though the petitioner was appointed in Salem, subsequently he was transferred to Dharmapuri. His spouse is working in Salem District. Therefore, in tune with the transfer guidelines issued in the letter of the Government dated 05.08.1998 the petitioner has made a representation so as to accommodate him in a nearby place where his spouse is working.

3. Admittedly, these are the guidelines and are not enforceable as a

matter of right. Needless to mention that whenever general transfer is taken up, claims of the persons such as the petitioner has to be considered as per the guide lines and transfer policy. The petitioner has submitted a representation to the respondents on 30.03.2024 and it is for the respondents to consider the same and pass orders in accordance with law and exigencies of service within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
