This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the petitioner's complaint dated 17.08.2015.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and perused the materials placed on record.

3. It is represented by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that the counter petitioner herein [Arumugam] has already lodged a complaint against the petitioner on 28.03.2015 in CSR.No.180 of 2015. The Counter petitioner also initiated Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act proceedings in STC.No.630 of 2015 before the learned Judicial Magistrate-II, Attur against the petitioner herein.

4. It is seen that in order to defeat the complaint already lodged by the counter petitioner, this petitioner has lodged the present complaint.

5. Without going into the merits of the case, the respondentPolice is directed to complete the investigation and file a Final Report or a Closure Report as the case may be, following the decision laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari Vs. Government of Uttarpradesh and Others reported in (2014) 2 SCC 1 under due intimation to the defacto complainant.
