This is an unusual application filed by one of the parties to the litigation.

2. By an order dated 23.08.2022, while disposing off the Criminal Revision Case in Crl.R.C.No.1179 of 2022, this Court directed that the main Maintenance Case itself should be disposed off within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

3. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the copy of the order was received on 22.11.2022 and that the four months time has expired on 21.02.2023. However, even though both the parties have filed their affidavits, still, the petitioner has been requesting time to produce some more material to show that the first respondent has been working and therefore, the period of four months has expired.

4. Normally, whenever time limit is granted by this Court, it is the Trial Court which seeks extension of time by filing a memo. Upon consideration of the same, this Court extends the time. The request on behalf of the present petitioner itself is unwarranted. Nevertheless, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the matter is not disposed off and some more time is need.

5. Time is extended upto 31.07.2023 and the Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is accordingly ordered.
