Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to

consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2021 and reminder representation dated 11.02.2023 and thereby direct the respondents 1 to 2 to remove the encroachments made in 24 Feet Road, Maan Sarover Avenue, VGN Lakshmi Nagar, Layout No.131/1993, Mugalivakkam, Chennai 600 125, by the third respondent.

(Made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider his representation dated 14.07.2021 and the reminder dated 11.02.2023 for removing the encroachments made by the third respondent in 24 Feet Road, Maan Sarover Avenue, VGN Lakshmi Nagar, Layout No.131/1993, Mugalivakkam, Chennai 600 125.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the third respondent has encroached the public Road called Maan Sarover Avenue Road in the layout, by constructing a building. The road, which was originally of 24 sq.ft., was reduced to 16 to 18 ft. Hence, a representation was made to the respondents 1 and 2 on 14.07.2021, for taking necessary

action, followed by several representations dated 27.10.2022, 28.11.2022, 15.12.2022 and 11.02.2023. As no action was taken, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.

3. Considering the grievance of the petitioner and the prayer sought, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.02.2023 and remove the encroachment, if any, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
