under contract dated 20.02.2019 for transportation of goods through lorries from the stores point of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation in Kancheepuram and Uthiramerur to various branch stores in the Kancheepuram District quash the same and consequently direct the first respondent to award the contract to such other successful bidder participating in the bidding process pursuant to wide publicity in several newspapers circulating in several regions and after following the provisions of the Tender Transparency Act. The learned counsel for the petitioner circulated a letter and seeks leave of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that at the time of making application he deposited a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- as EMD and the petitioner is entitled to return of the said amount. 2/4

3. Since the petitioner seeks to withdraw this Writ Petition, the first respondent may not have any impediment in returning the EMD amount to the petitioner. Therefore, the first respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today and pass orders in accordance with law.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs.
