O R D E R

The petitioner was arrested by the police in Crime No.352 of 2018 under Section 341, 392 and 506(ii) IPC. He was granted bail in Crl.M.P.No.12452 of 2018 by the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai on 01.08.2018, on condition that he should execute a bond for Rs.10,000/-with two sureties, one of whom should be a blood relative. The petitioner was not able to obtain sureties and therefore, he filed in Crl.M.P.No.13432 of 2018 for modification of the said condition, in which, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Chennai by order dated 14.08.2018, modified the condition relating to blood relative surety. But however, refused to reduce the bond amount from Rs.10,000/- to Rs.5,000/-. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is before this Court for reduction of the bond amount.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, who submitted that the petitioner does not have means to secure sureties for Rs.10,000/- and prayed for reduction of the surety bond. He fairly submitted that apart from this case, there is one other case against the petitioner.

3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court reduces the bond amount form Rs.10,000/- to Rs.5,000/-. The sureties shall affix their photographs and Left Thumb Impression in the surety bond and the Magistrate may obtain a copy of their Aadhar card or Bank pass Book to ensure their identity. Rest of the conditions imposed by the Sessions Court shall remain the same.

With the above modification, this petition is ordered accordingly.
