Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of the first respondent in and his proceeding Memo No.007584/994/G33/G331/2006-1 dated 22.08.2006 and quash the same.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the transfer order dated 22.08.2006, wherein the petitioner was transferred from Mannargudi to Thiruvannamalai.

2. The case of the petitioner is that originally he was appointed as Junior Assistant on 09.09.1992 and thereafter, promoted as Assistant in the year 1999. Initially, the petitioner was posted for transfer in Thanjavur Circle during the year 1994 Based on his request, the respondent again transferred the petitioner from Thiruvannamalai to his native place. Accordingly, during the year 2001, the petitioner was transferred from Thiruvannamalai Circle to Nagai Electricity Distribution Circle. Again on his request, he was transferred to his native place viz., Mannargudi. While he was working in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

his native place, again, the petitioner was transferred to Thiruvannamalai Electricity Distribution Circle.

3. On perusal of the materials available on record, it is seen that the order of transfer of the petitioner is dated 22.08.2006. After a lapse of 11 years, I do not find anything survives for adjudication in the writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
