This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent-police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.62 of 2025 within the time stipulated by this Court. 1/4

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in this case has already been completed and the case has been referred as 'mistake of fact' and the RCS notice has also been served on the petitioner/de facto complainant and the final report has been E-filed before J.M.I Court-FAD by E.Filing No. LTN.2022000240000008 as early as on 22.07.2025.
3. Recording the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition stands closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said final report/closure report and work out his remedy in the manner known to law, if so advised. 02.04.2026 sha NCC : Yes/No 2/4
