O R D E R

On the complaint lodged by Priya, the 1st respondent has registered a case in Crime No.844 of 2018 on 24.08.2018 for woman missing. It is the case of Priya that she had performed the betrothal of her daughter Haridhra, aged about 23 years, scheduled to marry one Kamesh on 29.08.2018. But however, on 23.08.2018, she went out saying that she is going to beauty parlour and thereafter, she did not return. Hence, the FIR. This petition has been filed by Haridhra herself, seeking a direction to the Police not to harass her.

2.Today, Mr.M.Sonairajan, Special Sub Inspector of Police, T-3 Korattur Police Station is present before this Court.

3.Mr.D.S.Ramesh, learned counsel appearing for Haridhra submitted that Haridhra had informed her mother and the family of bridegroom that she is not interested in the marriage, even at the time of betrothal. fixed the marriage on 29.08.2018. Therefore, Haridhra left her parental home on 23.08.2018 and that she is ready and willing to surrender before the Police, provided she is not harassed.

4.In such view of the matter, this Court directs Haridhra to appear before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur at 10.30 a.m. on 08.09.2018. The respondent Police is directed to produce Priya before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur at 10.30 a.m. on 08.09.2018. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ambattur shall conduct enquiry with both the parties and ensure that no harm befalls Haridhra.
