Prayer: Criminal Original petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to modify the condition imposed by the learned Principal Sessions Judge of Tiruvarur in Crl.M.P.No.826 of 2021, dated 08.06.2021 that "the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- to the account of Chief Minister, Corona Fund, State of Tamil Nadu Government"

O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for modification of the bail condition imposed in Crl.M.P.No.826 of 2021, dated 08.06.2021, passed by the file of the learned Principal Sessions Judge of Tiruvarur 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the lower Court, while granting bail to the petitioner, imposed a condition that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- to the account of Chief Minister, Corona Fund, State of Tamil Nadu Government". He would further submit that due to corona pandemic situation the petitioner is unable to arrange funds. Hence, he sought for suitable modification of the above said condition.

3.Heard both sides.

4.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the condition imposed on the petitioner by the Court below in Crl.M.P.No.826 of 2021, dated 08.06.2021, is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.5,000/- to the account of Chief Minister, Corona Fund, State of Tamil Nadu Government. The other conditions imposed by the Court below shall remains intact.

5.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
