(Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.) On 17.06.2021, this Court passed the following order: "The Registry is directed to verify as to whether the appellant herein has filed any appeal challenging his conviction and sentence dated 15.07.2019 passed in S.C.No.200 of 2017 in F-1, Chinthadripet Police Station Crime No.1385 of 2016 on the file of the XVIII Additional Sessions Court, (City Civil Court), Chennai and place a report before this Court.

Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) is also directed to verify the same. Post the matter on 25.06.2021."

Pursuant to our direction, the Registry has placed a note, wherein, it is stated as follows:

"On verification, it is respectfully submitted that the petitioner in the above said case has not preferred any appeal before this Hon'ble Court challenging the conviction and sentence in S.C.No.200 of 2017 in F-1, Chinthadripet Police Station, Crime No.1385 of 2016 on the file of the XVIII Additional Sessions Court, (City Civil Court), Chennai."

In view of the above and being satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition, the delay of 226 days in filing the above appeal is condoned.

The Registry shall number the appeal, if the same is otherwise in order.
