2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of 0.55.0 Hectare of agricultural lands in Sendrayanahalli village, Koviloor Taluk, Dharmapuri District. According to her, she applied for electricity service connection for agricultural purpose on 26.08.1999 with Ref.No.0760/99 and the respondent called for certain particulars on 20.11.2013 and those particulars were also immediately furnished. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that though nearly 16 years had lapsed, she has not been favoured with any kind of response and hence, she came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard Mr.M.Varun Kumar, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and on instructions, he would submit that the provision of electricity service connection for agricultural purpose is admittedly a free scheme and it will be given subject to fulfillment of relevant norms.

This Court, taking into consideration, the limited scope of the representation and without going into merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 28.02.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
