O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 19.05.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 392 and 397 of IPC in Crime No. 745 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 17.05.2020, at about 04.30 p.m., when the defacto complainant was standing near the Dharapuram Road, the petitioner herein and other accused had committed robbery and robbed a sum of Rs.2,000/-from him. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner has been suffering incarceration from 19.05.2020. Hence, he seeks for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate ( Crl.Side) would submit that the petitioner along with other accused robbed a sum of Rs.2,000/- from the defacto complainant. He would further submit that there are six previous cases pending as against the petitioner of similar nature and that the petitioner has been arrested only on 19.05.2020. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and petitioner is involved six previous cases of similar nature, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
