O.P.No.98 of 2022 O.P.No.98 of 2022 C.V.KARTHIKEYAN,J., The Original Petition filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925, seeking Succession Certificate relating to the securities namely, the amount in the State Bank of India, Park Town Branch in Public Provident Fund account in the name of the deceased, Smt. Dr. Pallavi Prradhan Mathur, who died intestate on 02.11.2019. The details of the said account had been given in the schedule to the petition.
2. The 1st petitioner is the husband of the deceased. The 2nd and 3rd petitioners are the two minor children.
3. The matter was held over to give the address of the deceased and necessary amendment has been made. It is also informed by the learned counsel that though originally in the petition, it had been stated that the account with State Bank of India in Gwalior, it is stated that the account had been transferred to the Park Town Branch in Chennai and therefore, it is stated that this petition is maintainable in this Court.
4. After necessary publication had been effected, the petitioner was directed to tender evidence.

5. The 1st petitioner examined himself as P.W.1. The Death Certificate of his wife was marked as Ex.P2 and the Legal Heirship Certificate was marked as Ex.P3 and the details of the Public Provident Fund in State Bank of India was marked as Ex.P4. The deceased had changed her name and necessary advertisement relating to that was marked as Ex.P1.
6. In view of the evidence presented, the Original Petition stands allowed. The Succession Certificate is granted in favour of the 1st petitioner as prayed for.
