Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record. By consent of the learned counsels on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed to quash the order of punishment awarded on the petitioner by postponement of increment for a period of one year without cumulative effect.
3. Though several grounds have been raised by the petitioner to challenge the impugned order considering the nature of allegations against the petitioner and also taking note of the fact that the petitioner has filed a petition before the first respondent to reconsider the punishment imposed, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the petition filed by the petitioner dated 17.09.2013 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
