O R D E R
The writ petition is filed with a prayer to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2025 by the first respondent.

Upon hearing the Learned Counsel for the petitioner and the Learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 and perusing the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and the other material records and the written instructions that are given to the Special Government Pleader, it can be seen that the petitioner belongs to Keezhvaattangurichi village. It is claimed that until the year 2018, they were conducting 'Jallikattu' in their village. From the year 2019, on account of the Temple Kumbhabhishekam etc., the practice was stopped. Thereafter, when they sought for permission, it was not granted to them since the petitioner village is not in the list of villages that is maintained by the first respondent. Therefore, the petitioner, by the present representation is seeking to include the petitioner's village is also as one of the permitted villages. In that regard, the Learned Special 2/5
Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that already the District Collector has forwarded to the appropriate authorities including the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ariyalur District and the Revenue Divisional Officer, Ariyalur and after getting reports to them, the same will be forwarded through the second respondent.
3. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following terms:
(i) The representation of the petitioner dated 29.01.2025 shall be taken up for consideration by the first respondent. The first respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner also. After receipt of due reports from the District Collector as well as the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences and the District Superintendent of Police as well as the District Revenue Officer, the question as to the desirability of including the petitioner's village for conduct of 'Jallikattu' shall also be considered by the first respondent in accordance with law.

(ii) The said exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt on web copy of the order without waiting for the certified copy of the order.
There shall be no order as to costs.
