O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to forthwith consider the claim of the petitioner for absorption as Junior Assistants/Computer Assistants in any of the existing vacancies with all consequential service benefits thereto by allowing her to take part in the ensuing special qualifying Test to be held pursuant to G.O.Ms.No.37, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (E5) Department dated 22.03.2017 and by publication of the results thereto.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Computer Assistant by the proceedings of the third respondent dated 20.02.2009. On the date of appointment, she possessed the qualification of Master of Science (M.Sc.,) (Integrated)in Software Science, which is the prescribed qualification for the said post.

Since, the petitioner is working from 2009 with requisite qualification for the post of computer assistant, this Court in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.8979 of 2017 dated 27.04.2017, finds no hesitation to direct the respondents to forthwith consider the representation of the petitioner for allowing her to take part in the ensuing special qualifying test for the post of Junior Assistant as notified in G.O. (Ms.)No.37, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department dated 22.03.2017, taking note of their continuous employment, and pass appropriate orders positively within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
