O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.07.2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 341, 294(b), 392, 397 and 506(ii) IPC, in Crime No.171 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution as per the defacto complainant one R. Prabakaran is that the petitioner along with the other accused persons have way laid the defacto complainant and robbed an amount of Rs.2,500/- from him and threatened him at knife point. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and that he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that A3 in this case has granted anticipatory bail and that the petitioner is no way connected in this case. Hence he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) would submit that the petitioner along with the other accused persons have way laid the defacto complainant and robbed an amount of Rs.2,500/- from him at the knife point. He further submit that there are 4 previous cases pending against the petitioner, out of which one is for the offence under Section 302 IPC and that the petitioner has been arrested very recently on 26.07.2020 and that in this case investigation is pending. Hence he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel and the antecedents of the petitioner and also that the petitioner has been arrested very recently, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dimisssed for the present.
