Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents herein to extend the time limit for re-export of the goods i.e. "converter - LCA 50W 100 ma - 400mA" under Bill of Entry No. 7680790 dated 2.12.2016 imported through the office of the respondents.

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to extend the time limit for re-export of the petition mentioned goods, namely, Converter LCA 50W 100 ma - 400MA.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. It is stated that the petitioner was not in a possession to re-export the goods within the time stipulated in the Order-in-Original No.132/2017 dated 28.02.2017. Therefore, they sought for extension of time through their representation dated 20.05.2017.

The grievance of the petitioner is that till this date, the 2nd respondent, has not passed any order on the said representation.

4. Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that the second respondent will pass appropriate orders within a period of 7 days on the representation made by the petitioner.

5. Recording the above said submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 20.05.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
