The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the first respondent Police for the offences underSections 336(2), 336(3) & 340(2) of BNS, in Crime No.120 of 2024, on the file of the respondent, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had created forged and fraudulent orders of the Hon'ble High Court of Bombay and Goa against the de facto complainant and circulate the same to her Whatsapp through one Richard Patridge. Hence the case.

3. The contention of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case. He also submitted that the de facto complainant is none other than the sister-in-law of the petitioner and there exists a civil dispute between them. Therefore, in order to wreak vengeance against the petitioner, the de facto complainant has given a false complaint. He further submitted that the petitioner is residing at Chennai and the first respondent had sent notice of appearance dated 03.01.2025 to his mother, who is in Bangalore and the petitioner was informed about the notice only on 04.02.2025. The petitioner was directed to appear before the first respondent on 14.01.2025 and since the notice reached the petitioner on 04.02.2025, he was 2/5

unable to appear before the first respondent. He also submitted that the petitioner has been taking treatment for his skin cancer and he also have some other health issues. He further submitted that inter State Anticipatory bail may be granted to the petitioner to enable him to move the appropriate jurisdictional Court for necessary relief. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail.

4. This Court, vide order dated 15.04.2025, directed to take notice and private notice to the first respondent and pursuant to the same, notice has been sent to R1, however, there is no representation for R1.

5. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the second respondent police submitted that he had not received any information regarding this case.

6. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and taking note of the nature of the allegations, this Court is inclined to grant interstate interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner for a period of four weeks from today to enable him to move before the concerned Court.

8. Accordingly, interim interstate anticipatory bail is granted to the petitioner for a period of four weeks, on condition that the petitioner shall surrender before the learned 5th Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai, 3/5

within a period of fifteen days from the date on which the order copy made ready and the petitioner shall execute a bond a for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the said learned Magistrate. Further, within four weeks from the date of execution of bail bond, the petitioner shall approach the competent Court and seek for appropriate relief.
