Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the second respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's husband, namely Shanmugasundaram, S/o Karivarathan, Male, aged 54 years, whose whereabouts is not known, before this Court and set him at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu, to direct the second respondent to produce the body of the petitioner's husband, namely, Shanmugasundaram, S/o Karivarathan, Male, aged 54 years, before this Court and set him at liberty. 2.We have perused the Status Report filed. In pursuant to the query raised by this Court though there is no germane to the case, we are satisfied with the steps taken. 3.Insofar as the present case is concerned, the detenu was said to be murdered and a case has been registered against the persons concerned. In such view of the matter, the habeas corpus petition stands closed.
