O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's requisition dated 13.08.2018, to conduct Spiritual-Political Mobile Propaganda Yatra.

2. The petitioner has given a representation to the Director General of Police, on 13.08.2018, for conducting a SpiritualPolitical Mobile Propaganda Yatra, throughout Tamil Nadu, after which, filed the present writ petition, with the above prayer.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), appearing for the respondent police.

4. In the opinion of this Court, no statutory duty is cast upon the Director General of Police, to dispose of such representations. It is for the petitioner to approach the Deputy Superintendent of Police, for necessary permission, and if such permission is denied, the same can be challenged by the petitioner, in the manner known to law.

The writ petition is devoid of merits and hence, stands dismissed. No costs.
