O R D E R

This Petition has been filed seeking for direction directing the second respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his wife.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

3.It is seen that the petitioner is fell in love with one Anitha, the daughter of one Chandran and got married on 10.07.2020 and their marriage was also registered before the District Registrar's Office, Chennai North and they are living separately and happily. It is also seen that both belong to different community and as such the third respondent, being the relative of his wife, threatened the petitioner and his wife with dire consequences and also tried to kill them. Though the parents of the wife supported their marriage, the husband of his wife's elder sister is now threatening the petitioner and his wife.

4. Considering the above facts and circumstances, the second respondent is directed to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his wife from the hands of the third respondent herein.

5.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
