Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, to direct the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct a Cultural Program schedule to be held on 29.07.2015 at Shri Shamundisvari Temple Subash Chandrabose Street Kaveripattinam Post Krishnagiri District. by considering the petitioner representation dated 20.07.2015.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a member of the Festival Organizing Committee of Shri Shamundisvari Temple, situate at Kaveripattanam, Krishnagiri District.

He submitted a representation/application dated 20.07.2015 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 29.07.2015, in connection with the temple festival, which includes song and dance programme and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4.This Court heard the submissions of Mr.Dig Vijay Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

5.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 20.07.2015, in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 28.07.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
