ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents authorities to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 17.03.2023.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Village Social Forestry Worker on daily wage basis on 07.07.1983 through District Employment Office. Subsequently the services of the petitioner's juniors were regularized in the cadre of Forest Watcher in the year 1995 and subsequently they were given further promotion to the post of Forest Guard in the year 2004. The services of the petitioner was reguarlised in the cadre post of Forest Watcher between the year 2004 and 2012 and promoted as Forest Guard in the year 2012. Thereafter, the petitioner filed W.P.No.25163 of 2014 to regularize his service in the cadre post of Forest Watcher on par with his juniors and the same was allowed by this Court vide order dated 16.09.2014. As per the direction of this Court, he was regularized and promoted as Forest Watcher from 1995. Thereafter, there is no promotion to the post of Forest Guard to Page No.2 of 4

the petitioner from 2004. Under such circumstances, petitioner's junior filed W.P.No.23022 of 2019 and the same was allowed and his junior also promoted as Forest Guard. Hence, the petitioner had made a representation to the respondents dated 17.03.2023. However, no order has been passed till date. Therefore, the petitioner has filed with the present writ petition before this Court.

3. Heard the leaned counsel on either side and also perused the materials available on record.

4. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders on merits, in accordance with law, within a period eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
