ORDER

The petitioner claims to be the owner of a piece of land measuring an extent of 3480 square feet situated at No.166/15 (previously S.No.23/A) situated at Thalaivasal, Mummudi Village, Salem District.

2. According to the petitioner, there was a mistake crept in, in the UDR Map regarding measurement. The grievance of the petitioner is that though he has given a representation on 27.09.2023 regarding the mistake crept in in the UDR Map regarding measurement, there is no reply from the respondents 1 to

4. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Pending writ petition, the petitioner filed a miscellaneous application in W.M.P.No.15476 of 2024 stating that the 5th respondent is the competent authority to make necessary changes in the UDR. That application was allowed today by a separate order and the 5th respondent was impleaded.

4. Heard both sides.

5. Considering the nature of relief sought in the writ petition and admittedly, no representation was given to the District Revenue Officer, who is the competent authority in the matter, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation to the District Revenue Officer, Salem District, enlightening his grievance about the mistake crept in in the UDR map particularly regarding measurement within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such representation, the District Revenue Officer, Salem District is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders to effect necessary changes on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months thereafter.

This writ petition is disposed of accordingly with the above directions. No costs.
