ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to conduct proper investigation and to take necessary action in accordance with law pursuant to the petitioner's complaints dated 15.12.2023 & 09.01.2025, pending on the file of the respondents 1 & 2.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father namely Suhanandan, who resided at Thennai Mara Street, was alone and owned a lot of properties at Vellore and died unnaturally on 04.12.2023. He was holding 300 sovereigns of gold ornaments and Rs.8 lakhs, which were found missing. One female maid accompanied the petitioner's father, when he was alive. The petitioner had immediately contacted the maid over the phone for more than 10 times, but she did not pick up the phone calls. 3.In this regard, the petitioner had lodged a written complaint on 15.12.2023 before the second respondent police and the same was registered vide CSR No.160 of 2023.

4.Thereafter, the petitioner had lodged a written complaint on 09.01.2025 before the first respondent towards the inaction of the second respondent. However, the first respondent has also not taken any action, pursuant to the petitioner's complaints. Therefore, having no other options, the petitioner is constrained to file the present Writ Petition. 5.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 and perused the materials available on record.

6.Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to take up the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 15.12.2023 in CSR No.160 of 2023 and conduct an enquiry after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and the counter parties, if any, and dispose of the same within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5
