ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by G.R.SWAMINATHAN, J.] Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

2. The petitioner's husband is in jail for more than 20 years. His criminal appeal questioning the conviction and sentence was also dismissed. The petitioner states that her husband requires specialised Unani treatment which is available only in Chennai. The petitioner wants the Authorities to shift her husband from Cuddalore prison to Central Prison - I, Puzhal, Chennai, so that he can be given treatment at Chennai. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation dated 02.05.2022, and the first respondent is the authority competent to consider the said request.

3. We do not express any opinion on the merits of the matter. The first respondent is directed to pass orders on the petitioner's representation on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
