Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on the proposal sent by the second respondent by the proceedings bearing Na.Ka.No.19461/2013/M3 dated 21.02.2014 for bringing the petitioner in the special time scale of pay of Rs.1300-3000 + Rs.300 in the post of sweeper with effect from 27.6.2011 within a period of four weeks or any other time limit.

ORDER

Heard Mr.V.Suthakar, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice on behalf of the respondents and with the consent of parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner is employed as Sweeper on consolidated pay from 1.5.2006 at Kuppatti Village Panchayat, Thally Block, Krishnagiri District. The second respondent has sent a proposal dated 21.2.2014 to the first respondent, to grant time scale of pay to the petitioner as per G.O.No.385, dated 1.10.2010. Now, the petitioner seeks for a direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the proposal.

3.Considering the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing anything on the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to pass orders on the aforesaid proposal, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
