Respondents Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the land situate at Grama Natham Survey No.29/271B1A and New Survey No.583/3, measuring to an extent of 00358 sq.mt. in Adivaram Veedhi, Thirukkalukundram Town and Taluk, Chengalpet District, based on the report letter, dated 24.02.2023, of the third respondent.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the land situate at Grama Natham Survey No.29/271B1A and New Survey No.583/3, measuring to an extent of 00358 sq.mt. in Adivaram Veedhi, Thirukkalukundram Town and Taluk, Chengalpet District, based on the report, dated 24.02.2023, of the third respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the District Collector and the Tahsildar have already recommended for issuance of patta in favour of the petitioner and, in spite of the same, orders have not been passed.

3. Learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, has produced a copy of the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.545/2023/A2, dated 08.09.2023, wherein the Revenue Divisional Officer has rejected the request of the petitioner.

4. In such view of the matter, this Court is of the view that it is for the petitioner to challenge the said order in the manner known to law.

5. Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
