The petitioner seeks a direction to consider the representation dated 08.03.2022 to provide an electricity service connection for his agricultural land at Survey No.155/2B Melvizhi Village, Kallakurichi Taluk instead of at Survey No.100/5B.
2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the agricultural land at the above mentioned Survey No.155/2B and applied for electricity service connection on 26.04.2008. Subsequently, the petitioner discovered that the Survey Number of the property was wrongly mentioned as Survey No.100/5B instead of 155/2B. The representation has been submitted seeking rectification and for grant of service connection to the correct address.
3. Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel (TNEB), accepts notice for the first and second respondents. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for the third respondent. Learned Standing Counsel for the first and second respondents points out that an electricity service connection is specific to the premises especially in the context of an agricultural service connection. Therefore, it is submitted that the petitioner should file a fresh application for Survey No.155/2B. Without prejudice, it is stated that the representation would be considered and disposed of on merits.

Accordingly, without going into the merits of the matter, W.P.No.12635 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the first and second respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.03.2022 and dispose of the same by a reasoned order within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
