This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent Police to register a case on the petitioner's complaint dated 27.07.2015 and to investigate the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that his brother Sridharan had collected the land acquisition compensation from the Special District Revenue Officer, National Highways, Thiruvallur in the year 2012, based on a bogus letter given by the advocate Mr.M.K.Subramani.

4. In a case of this nature, the Police cannot conduct the investigation. The petitioner is directed to approach the Special District Revenue Officer, Land Acquisition and lodge a complaint before him. If the Special District Revenue Officer finds that the compensation amount has been wrongly paid, he has the power to take appropriate action including criminal action for impersonation. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
