ORDER

Heard Mr.S.Vijayakumar, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.R.Janaki, the learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for disposal.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he being inducted in a criminal case, was not allowed to retire from service, and in the meanwhile, the criminal case against him is ended in acquittal. Thereafter, the petitioner has submitted a representation on 06.04.2017 to the third respondent, to allow him to retire and disburse his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

retirement benefits. Such representation having not been considered, he has come to this Court, seeking a direction to consider his representation dated 06.04.2017, in a time bound manner.

3. Regard being had to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and also considering the limited prayer made by the petitioner, this Court without going into the materials placed on record, directs the third respondent to take an informed and considered decision on the representation of the petitioner dated 06.04.2017, in accordance with law, if there is no legal impediment, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided the same is pending till date and communicate such decision to the petitioner. However, it is made clear that the direction of this Court should not be considered as a mandate to dispose of the representation of the petitioner in any particular manner.

4. With the aforesaid order, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
