Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to make necessary corrections in respect of the classification of the land from "Vandi pattai Purampoke" to "Grama Natham" in the computer patta in respect of T.S.No.18/2 in Block No.28, admeasuring 1308 sq.ft. situated at Villivakkam, Aminjikarai Taluk, Chennai within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to make necessary corrections in respect of the classification of the land from "Vandi pattai Purampoke" to "Grama Natham" in the computer patta in respect of T.S.No.18/2 in Block No.28, admeasuring 1308 sq.ft. situated at Villivakkam, Aminjikarai Taluk, Chennai within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that a mistake had occurred during the mutation process where the property was classified as 'Vandi Pattai Purampokke' instead of Grama Natham". The grievance of the petitioner is that despite the representations made by the petitioner on 06.02.2023 to the District Collector and subsequent representation to the Revenue Divisional 2/5

Officer on 09.06.2023 to rectify the defect, no action has been taken by the them till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 06.02.2023 and 09.06.2023 to the first and second respondents respectively and pass Orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
