ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent police to complete the further investigation under the supervision of second respondent and file a final report in Cr.No.207 of 2007 before the learned Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, Chennai.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the police issued summons to the petitioner, but the petitioner did not co-operate with the enquiry. On pursuance of the summons, it is seen that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the police have issued summon on 24.08.2016, directing the petitioner to appear before them on 25.08.2016 at 11.00 a.m. But the same was received by the petitioner only on 25.08.2016 at 5.00 p.m. The manner in which, the summons have been issued, does not inspire the confidence of this Court that the investigation is proceeding on the right line.
