The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent Police for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20(b)(ii)(B), 29(2)(a) & 8(A)(a) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 in Crime No.369 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that on receipt of secret information, on 09.10.2024 the respondent Police conducted vehicle check near Kaveri Nagar, at that time, the accused came in a two wheeler bearing Reg.No.TN28-BY-6410 and they were found in possession of 3.100 kgs of ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has nothing to do with the alleged offence. He further submits that based on the confession of co-accused, the petitioner is arrayed as A3.

4.Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petitioner is arrayed as A3 and he has got one previous case of similar in nature.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the petitioner has one previous case of similar in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 27.06.2025 vv2 To 1.The Inspector of Police, Komarapalayam Police Station, Namakkal District.
