ORDER
(The case has been heard through video conference) This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.03.2020, wherein the petitioner has sought for the settlement of certain amounts that is due and payable by the University of Madras.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the University of Madras has approached the petitioner-Institution for conducting courses in Yoga and there was a Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the parties. According to the petitioner, they made a representation to the respondentUniversity on 21.03.2020 for refund of tuition fee share as per the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding. However, till date the said representation has not been considered by the respondent-University. Left with no other alternative, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.
3. Heard Mr.B.Neduchezhiyan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Stalin Abimanyu, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.03.2020 strictly in accordance with law and the agreement entered between the parties and pass appropriate orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the third respondent along with all necessary documents and also a copy of this order.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
